The Westlake 4th of July Parade

Rehearsal for the 4th of July Parade will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at 10:00 a.m. in the high school band room. We will finish no later than 11:30 a.m. All students currently in the marching band are expected to attend the rehearsal as well as the parade on Monday. Members of the class of 2011 are especially encouraged to “march one last time” down Hilliard for this special observance!

The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 4th. We will meet at the high school at 8:45 a.m. and take school busses to the church as we do for the Memorial Day Parade. There is no ceremony following the parade. We should arrive back at the highschool at approximately 11:00 a.m.

Dress for the parade is as follows:

Instrumentalists are to wear their band t-shirts (gray) from this year or last year, khaki shorts, white tennis shoes, and low whitesocks. All aux. members are to wear conservative white shirts, conservative black shorts, white tennis shoes, and low white socks. The outfits you wear for try-outs will be perfect.

I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to march in your community’s 4th of July Parade. The addition of the Westlake High School Band in this parade will mean a great deal to the citizens of Westlake. Please spread the word so that everyone is aware of our rehearsal on Saturday, July 2nd!

Thank you!
